It appears that really the scrunchie has indeed made a comeback in 2021. 

For the previous couple of years, we have seen lots of people wearing scrunchies as an accessories. Scrunchies have become a fashion statement to fashion designers. Designers had models down the runway wearing elegant outfits and sunglasses with hair engaged during a messy bun with a scrunchie. It looked fabulous.

What does a scrunchie do?

It holds the hair into place while adding volume. Most of us cannot count the times we have begged our hair for some volume before we tried to put it in a ponytail or a messy bun. Scrunchy was introduced in 1987 by Rommy Revson, but the early 2000s marked a downfall within the popularity of scrunchies. However, Scrunchies got their popularity back in 2016.
